About Max’s Journey
How it Begins: Family Influence
Max grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan, about 40 minutes northwest of where he attended Wayne State University. Max’s family is spread across the eastern United States in metro-Detroit, West-Cleveland, and Tampa.
Max places a extensive priority in family. Growing up surrounded by entrepreneurs, he holds a personal connection to those individuals who take the risk to support their families with a family business. With his father starting a residential real estate development company in the 1980’s and his mother starting an online golf fitness company in 2021, Max has grown up experiencing all stages of small businesses.
Above all else, it is Max’s goal to use his knowledge of finance and entrepreneurship to help business owners achieve their professional goals.
Professional Experience
Deloitte: Risk and Financial Advisory
Associate Business Analyst
Max began his full-time career at Deloitte in August, 2024, upon accepting a full-time employment offer following his summer analyst role in the 2023. He will have similar roles and responsibilities as a full-time analyst as he did as a summer analyst, for Max will join the same team that he was with previously at the firm.
Summer Analyst 2023
Max worked in the internship program at Deloitte in their Downtown Detroit office. Max enjoyed the environment of a large corporation where he understood the pros/cons of working for a large corporation versus small businesses.
Max helped clients:
Identify and understand technology risk as business change
Improve effectiveness of governance, financial, and operational control processes
Offer recommendations to improve operations
Be on the forefront of program transformation
Strengthen overall risk management
Implement technology to support risk programs
Landmarc Building Development Inc.
Current Bookkeeping Associate
Max has worked for Landmarc Building Development Inc. from 2017 to 2024 completing various responsibilities including jobsite cleanup and bookkeeping roles. Max was a bookkeeping associate. Max enjoyed working for this bootstrapped family business where he provided value through attention to detail and efficient turnaround time on daily tasks.
In addition to daily bookkeeping responsibilities, Max learned about the residential real estate industry from an investment perspective—comparing single-family vs multi-family and development vs pre-existing value-add projects.
Max parted ways with Landmarc Building to focus on his career at Deloitte. He successfully trained his younger brother, Ryan, to take over his role and responsibilities.
Max’s Responsibilities Included:
Analyzed monthly invoices, credit card statements, deposit slips, rental payments, and inputted them into Build Soft accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Prepared, analyzes, and recorded financial statements and job cost reports through Build Soft accounting software
Coordinated with company accounting team to ensure the books of the company are current and accurate
Worked with accounting team to prepare and export 1099 Form data to subcontractors
Managed Homeowner’s Associations an their related expenses, dues collection, budget projections, and spending reports
OMS360
2022 Business Development and Finance Summer Analyst
Max spent the summer of 2022 in Cumming, Georgia, where he worked with members of the Business Development and Finance teams at OMS360. As a portfolio company of Shore Capital Partners (SCP), OMS360 an extension of SCP’s healthcare thesis in executing an oral surgery roll-up strategy. Mas was the 16th hire of a growing corporate team.
In addition to daily responsibilities, Max learned about dynamics of the healthcare private equity industry and the M&A landscape in general. Over the summer, Max gained experience and perspectives of an M&A transaction from both the pre-transaction and the post-transaction lenses.
Outside of the office, Max spent his time at the Golf Club of Georgia and on Lake Lanier.
Max’s roles and responsibilities included:
Improved deal prospect outreach processes with senior leadership
Tracked active and historical deal pipeline and due diligence via HubSpot and Microsoft Excel—Initial due diligence, PowerPoint deck creation for investment committee, competitive analysis
Deal structuring and valuation
Actively participated in deal pitches during investment committee meetings with Shore Capital Partners
Created internal financial reports to capture the current state of the company to report to SCP
Managed accounts payable vendor relationships with Stampli
Created expense reports with Certify
Max spent the summer of 2021 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he worked with the founding employees of Yousif Capital Management. As the 7th hired employee, Max worked with all members of the team in the establishment of the firm in its first 6th months of operations. YCM is an institutional asset management firm founded with roughly $5 billion AUM and has grown organically and through acquisition.
In addition to daily responsibilities, Max got a taste for the traditional public market asset management. Growing up with aspirations of Wall Street, he was able to learn about equity and fixed income markets, portfolio management, and the macroeconomic drivers of the financial markets.
Max’s completed the following responsibilities:
Organized and managed client contracts with the internal accounting software and cloud-based business records.
Conducted industry analysis/research for investment using Bloomberg
Established an internal system to maintain physical record and organization of client contracts.

With his career centered around Detroit, Max successfully joined the DAC where he plans to spend time exercising, socializing, and networking. He is currently on the waitlist and expects to be fully inducted in 2026.

While with FMA, Max became involved and passionate about the IPC-a nonprofit that teaches financial literacy to high school students around high schools in Detroit. In 2024, Max became much more involved by helping curate the curriculum that would be taught throughout the program. He also implemented Kahoot! as a way to further engage the students.
Max plans to continue his involvement with IPC for many years to come

Max led the organization in planning, creation, and execution. The organization’s main goal is to expose its members to the various career paths within the financial services and investment management industries.
To help develop the technical skills of its members, Max established a partnership with Wall Street Oasis to provide FMA members with free and discounted resources to further develop their financial and career skills.
Max also helped FMA engage in the community through the Investment Professionals for Charity Organization—a non-profit geared towards educating high school students in Downtown Detroit about personal financial literacy concepts.

Max was member of the Wayne State University Division 2 Men’s Golf Team. Mas contributed both on and off the course to the team’s success.
Responsibilities of team membership include, but are not limited to: Regular indoor and outdoor practices, daily 7 AM workouts, and volunteer activities within the community, and tournaments.

Max was a participant in the NIBC on team EBITDetroit
Competition activities included: creation of a financial model with three statement projections, DCF, precedent transactions valuation, trading comparable valuation, leveraged buyout scenario, pitch deck creation, and a recorded presentation.

As a judge in the local round for Emory University, Max evaluated and provided feedback to contestants’ presentation, business model, sales plan, and growth strategies while sitting in on the “due diligence” and “board room” conversations.
